It really isnt that complex of a question. Being conscious is knowing where you are when you are there and how you are there. For example im laying in my bed in my house in in the town of ______ which is located in Louisiana which is a state in the United States which is a country on Earth which is in the milky way galaxy which is floating somewhere in space. Thats the where. Is currently 3:43 A.M. on Monday April 19 in the year 2021 A.D. and im in the central time zone. Thats the when. My mom gave birth to me on ______ in which i developed in a womb for 9 months prior then I lived out my life till this exact point but before that for millions of years carbon based life developed and grew into more complex patterns , evolving until humans came and once that happened my ancestors mated until me. Thats the how. While a dog might know he is on grass in a yard he doesn’t know what a yard is or that he is on a big rock in space that orbits a star. Hes only conscious to his direct surroundings. So while a dog and human are both conscious under what ive listed as my definition of consciousness humans have a more complex understanding of their consciousness than other life forms. This is a lot of typing, but before I slept, I felt strange, I started to think beyond. I'm a Christian, but sometimes I think what if god weren't there, thinking about life n stuff makes me loose faith, but I recollect this by the few unbelievable things there are like entities, then I think about what if we dont go to heaven or hell or whatever and instead are we left with an empty void that we dont experience, does our conciousness come back? I start to even look at my own hands, I can direct each finger and even move, I control me, I dont feel like I'm actually my body, I feel like my brain controlling a vessel, and if I wanted to I could throw my phone at a wall or something cus I'm capable of that, felt like looking for my answer but it's something we havent solved, or even know if we can solve it. We have a base understanding but it's not enough for me to make a good way to choose what I wanna believe or think.

A simple robot made to follow light is the equivalent to a moth and with a few hardware changes now the same robot will get away from light and follow darkness like a cockroach. The artificial robot is as conscious as a biologic robot, as hippies and religious people say the matterial doesn't matter. At some point animals didn't have eyes so they didn't know they could wiew the world differently. The only way we can go to heaven is if someone pays our hell punishment for us. Jesus lived a perfect sinless life and then took all of God's wrath for our sins upon Himself on the cross. Since jesus paid 100% of our sins, there is none left for us to pay. Our punishment has been paid and we get off scot free. Justice has been paid and Gods mercy has been upheld. Our good deeds don't save us. Nor do they contribute anything to our salvation. Jesus paid it all. Just acknowledge your sins, and accept this gift of Jesus Christ to go to heaven. i think, after watching this, consciousness is shown by animals that have the ability to choose. like the chicken choosing to wait. everything the animals evolved in this gave them the ability to make choices as opposed to just being instinctual. if an animal can choose, then i think its probably self aware and conscious. its obviously more complicated than that, but its still a big part a think.

Even title boldly claims "How Unaware Things Became Aware", you just stated in the video's beginning you do not know that :) and yet still saying "I know how". This is what we call in my field of psychology - Schizophrenia. And there is also a clear assumption from the video "the way I believe is how everybody believe and how life is according to this believe". Always saying we - who's we?
